After announcing the baby AK the AK Jr early this month Astell&Kern have made another announcement about a new player the Astell&Kern AK380 that looks to be the new flagship. The full details are still tentative, however speculation suggests it will not be using dual Cirrus Logic DACs any longer, instead it will use 2 proprietary DAC chips to improve on the performance of the other portable players in the Astell&Kern range. Looking at the teaser images it seems as though the screen is slightly larger than the AK240 at about 4″. The AK380 will be on demonstration at headroom™ Store in London when launched.
