Musical Fidelity MF200 Headphones

The new MF-200 headphones follow Musical Fidelity’s philosophy that their products should give an accurate, faithful and transparent reproduction of the original recording  - avoiding the fashion for ‘tuning’ sound.

Based on the original concept of the MF100s, the MF200s represent a significant upgrade in all respects: design, construction, materials and sonic performance.

Musical Fidelity have created a truly luxurious headphone with the MF200 featuring beautifully machined and polished metal, soft-touch leather and a high quality finish throughout.

Now a signature feature of the brand’s headphone range, the MF-200 features the subtle but attractive ear piece colour coding to give instant recognition of the left and right channel.

The MF-200 features a tough, an anti-tangle, rubberised cable and a choice of either padded leather of alcantara suede, interchangeable, ear pads with memory foam insert specially selected for both its acoustic properties and comfort.

The ear-pieces can be folded when not in use making the MF200 easy to store in the included suede effect carry bag.

An in-line mic/mute control makes taking or making calls easy for smartphone users.

A carefully redesigned enclosure structure both inside and out – with new and more inert materials – combine to help minimise reflections and standing waves, creating a clearer, more natural sound taking you even closer to the original recording.

The 40mm drivers have been specially selected and paired for very tight tolerance and are punched from a single sheet of material to ensure a constant thickness.  The engineering team has taken great care to ensure that the MF-200 is exceptionally neutral and accurate, with a flat, wide frequency response and very low distortion.

Large and powerful neodymium magnets are specified for both sets with a shallow voice coil featuring extra thin windings to create a highly efficient motor assembly.

Primarily a closed design – to ensure minimal sound leakage either out or in – the MF200s also include a series of fine vents to reproduce the more spacious sound normally associated with open-back headphones.

The headphones are also sensitive and easy to drive, making their exceptional sound quality readily available to all tablet, PC and smartphone users.
